Power Plant Sewage Loss

A power plant located in Homer City, Indiana County, suffered a water loss when a sewage line became backed up.  Category 3 water (contaminated water) overflowed throughout the buildings floor.  Most of the dry wall was not affected, but antimicrobial agents were still needed to be sprayed.  Water was extracted as well as any other unwanted contaminants.  After extraction, flooring was cleaned and the anti microbial agent was applied.  SERVPRO of Ebensburg uses Benifact, a green botanical product made from thyme oil.  This kills bacteria safely without causing any harm like other harsh anti bacteria chemicals.  Luckily the floors were easy to clean and there was no need for removal of walls, but was still a larger commercial job none the less, and no problem at all for SERVPRO of Ebensburg and Indiana County.
